9526 view(s) Partnership with March was revived in 1985, when two March 86Gs powered by 800-hp turbocharged fourcylinder engines contested the IMSACamel GT series. The cars had a difficult gestation period, but once they were sorted, they ran pretty wel. In September 1986 their moment of glory finally came. At Watkins Glen Davy Jonesa`and John Andretti finaly won, lapping all but two Porsche 962s in the process!

The March BMW 86G01 is one of the lesser known kits of Tamiya's 1/24 (radio controlled) Tamtech series. Produced by Tamiya until the the mid nineties these kits had durable one piece clear bodies making them ideal for slotrace purposes.
Although out of production for some time, mint condition kits can still be found on e-bay.
