Don Panoz gave Andrew Thorby and Martin Reed "Carte Blanche" in designing the LMP Roadster, that is as long as that engine stayed where it belonged...at the front.
The result was one of the most captive body shapes of the last decade, accompanied by a wonderfull roaring V8.

These features alone were enough to keep the fans motivated, because during its lifespan they usually recieved the short end of the stick from Audi. However the Batmobiles never gave in with out a fight, and many of th memorable battles between the 2 cars will go down in history as ..epic!

The Panoz LMP-1 has quite a long traceable history for a contemporary and successful prototype. How this prototype, with its roots based in a GT-1 chassis (see below) and having an unconventional front-engine location, was forged into a race winner is a surprising, yet impressive, feat.

Panoz LMP 01 data:
Lenght: 4648 mm, Width: 1996 mm, Wheelbase: 2748 mm, Height: 1069 mm, Tyres: Michelin 33 / 65 - 18 & 37 / 71 - 18, Wheels: BBS 18"

Resin curbside kit.

Clean CAD designed body captures the Batmobile in full glory

Contents

One piece resin body, seperate resin floorpan with frontsplitter and rear diffuser, photo-etched detail parts, decals and resin wheel inserts.

Slotcar conversion remarks:

A lot of material needs to be removed before the Body fits on Sidewinder Chassis.
Cockpit interior has to be scratch build to make room for sidewinder motor.

Needs small housing for the spur gear if bigger than 43t is used.

Achilles heel of Panoz are the splitter/spoiles, headlamp area and nose and wheelarches.

In a crash these can crack. reinforcement with GFK advised.
