Racing for Holland 1:1
Succesfull night test for Racing for Holland
Thursday, 19 May 2005
Le Mans 24h Racing for Holland has successfully completed two days of testing with the Dome S101 at Magny-Cours. Along Racing for Holland also Team
Jota and Jim Gainer International attended the by Dunlop organized test days to prepare their cars for the 24 hours of Le Mans next month.
The Dutch team started yesterday at 18:00 in the afternoon and have run the car without any problems till 02:00 this night. After a short break the
team continued with the tests from 06:00 this morning till 08:00. All three drivers, Jan Lammers, Elton Julian and John Bosch got into the car. Both
John and Elton spend a lot of time in the car - Jan left Magny-Course after completing the first session to catch his flight this morning from Paris
to Canada for a race this weekend in the Howard-Boss Motorsports Crawford with Andy Wallace and Milka Duno.
"We did a lot of running and the team did a good job", said John Bosch. "The car ran without any trouble and I must say that I was impressed by our
lap times, especially compared to the works Dome and the (Team Jota) Zytek. Of course I instantly felt at home in the car as I know it quite well,
although now my seat was not ideal, so we will have to change that before going to Le Mans next month. On a new set of race rubber I did the same lap
times as Elton Julian so that was good. Elton is quick and makes no mistakes and we all know how good Jan is, so it looks like that, as a team, we
will be OK."
The team will continue to prepare the car for the upcoming official Le Mans test day to be held the 5th of June. After the administrative checking and
scruteneering on Friday and Saturday, the Dome S101 will come in action again from 09:00 till 19:00 on Sunday.
