Ground clearance
I can find different ground clearance rules from the lates IMCA rulebook:
¶ 3. FERRARI F430 TECH RULES
Art. 6: FERRARI CHALLENGE F430 CARS
6.2. WEIGHT & DIMENSIONS
(c) GROUND CLEARANCE - Minimum ground clearance for all ready to run cars when measured on a flat surface is 1.0 mm [0.0397"].
¶ 4. FIA GT CARS TECH RULES
Art. 7: FIA GT CAR SPECIFICATIONS
7.1 READY TO RUN (RTR) FIA GT CAR
(g) GROUND CLEARANCE - Chassis: Minimum 1.0 mm. Body: Minimum 1.0 mm
¶ 5. TECH RULES CLASSIC CARS
Art. 8: 1973 LE MANS CARS FOR THE TOBLERONE CLASSIC WORLD CUP
8.9. GROUND CLEARANCE
Ground clearance starting the race is never under 1mm, during the race and on arrival never under 0.8mm.
¶ 6. ADDITIONAL RULES
Art. 9: ON DEFICIENT GROUND CLEARANCE
Racers found with a too low ground clearance (< 0.8 mm) have to correct it during racing time and can re-enter their car only after it was inspected
by the race direction. Is a too low clearance discovered at the end of a heat or of the race sanction will always be 10 % of the achieved laps. If a
too low clearance is discovered at a control during the race sanction is 10 % of the achieved laps since the previous inspection
So, what is the minimum ground clearance during and after the race in F430 and FIA GT?
There has been lot of discussion about ground clearances after the 2006 worlds. I have never understand the reason of model car ground clearance
rules. The rules of scale cars and wing cars (in Finland) are much more simplier. Minimum ground clearance is 0,8 mm before start and that's it. Very
simply. No polemics year after year, no arbitrary disqualifications after the race.

As JP wrote on his website concerning the FIA GT EEC: tech rules will be according to those posted on this website
So look at these rules and you'll
find
1.4 Ground Clearance - Chassis (art 2.1,2,3): Minimum 1,0 mm Body: Minimum 1 mm
note - For endurances it is advised to run the RtR car @ 1,2 mm ground clearance under the rear axle.
To confuse you even more:
Please take note of the different values for the GC of the chassis (1,0) and Body (1mm) although it looks like they are the same they are in fact
not.
In the General Technical Rules that we
use there's ART.4 TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS/ SCRUTINEERING which states
4.1.1 Scrutenering Tolerance Unless specifically mentioned otherwise in the sporting rules, the notation of the decimal(s) of the value designates the
tolerance. For example: noted value 1 mm = tolerance of 0,5 mm, noted value 1,0 mm = tolerance of 0,05 mm
So.... if you read the rules correctly it means that for Technical Inspections after the race has started your chassis must not be lower that 0,95mm,
but the body can be as low as 0,5 mm.
The motivation for this is that if a chassis is run under the allowed GC this can be an performance advantage.
Most of the time a body fails GC on the body this is because the car was in a crash and some part broke loose (splitters sideskirts etc etc)
You know...Dutch guys are Crazy, but these are the rules

I have no say about the F430 challenge (the IMCA WORLDS Individual Sprintraces) Tech rules.

So the official rules of the official IMCA EEC serie aren't located on the official IMCA site? Great
