F430 TECH RULES -- LEXAN INTERIORS

QUESTION 2 -- F430 TECH RULES -- LEXAN INTERIORS

Quote:
6.(f) COCKPIT - Lexan cockpit as Slotracing Werk's (item #11503imca), including the windshield and the lateral windows is allowed. Dash board (part L7) & Roll Bars (parts H1, H2, H3, H4) are original Fujimi, incl. steering wheel. K3 and K6). A three-dimensional driver, with complete legs (minimum upper leg) and at least one hand fixed to the steering wheel, and a driver's seat is obliged. Here we advise item #10637 by Slotracing Werk. The material used to construct the driver is free but the head/helmet should be made of hard plastic or resin. A Roll-bar (or roll-cage), steering wheel, dash board,, racing safety harness, fire extinguisher (N5 and N6) and gear shift (L2) are required.

6.(g) PLASTIC MOTOR - It's well known that on the Ferrari F430 one can see the motor through the rear window. Here one is allowed to use the lexan motor version as released by Slotracing Werk (cf. art. 6.6.f)

I would like to clarify that the WERKE lexan interior for the F430 that is referenced and shown in the F430 Rules is only an example . . . and that other lexan interiors for the F430 as produced by Nick de Wachter, Al Paterson, etc. can also be used. Many thanks.

Any ideas or pictures on how to jam the roll cage/dashboard into the lexan interior, while maintaining the base or part therof the firewall and the dashboard?

All this without cutting or dremeling.....does not say you can't melt it all together and tape it in place.:D

I dare say the 60 gram minimum body weight will be easily reached and then some..

Thanks, Terry

Gents,

I just started to build my F430 for the Toblerone Race and like to use the Lexan Parts from Nick. In the Rulebook IMCA Mentioned that we have to use the "Part B5" (rear Window Holder to the Motor) without Dremling.
What is the best way to assemble the Lexan Parts with "Part 5"?. Which Part has to be cut?. Do you have maybe a picture?

thx

Glue the Lexan side windows in first Jens,

then, having re-read the rules, I see that ONLY the Windoscreen and Lateral Windows may be Lexan.
So that clearly states we HAVE to use the original REAR WINDOW. :m16:

So, Glue in the original rear window, and finally then glue in the Item B5 with original Clear glass window. That will work fine. Then you can add the Rear motor detail part.

Big Al

PS: I've seen some Pics of cars with lexan rear windows.. Hope you guys are using those cars as practice cars, cos I've re-ordered a whole jkit from Japan because I couldn't get my mistake rear lexan window out without major damage happening. If cars go through TECH Control with Lexan rear windows, there'll be LOUD complaints made from myself personally. :upset:
