IMCA Worlds to be moved by one week to July 27-August 1st !!????
Hello Guys
Got a request from JPVR to post this here
He would like to know if their are objections to move the 2008 Imca Worlds
scheduled at July 20-25 by one week to July 27- August 1st.
This due to the fact that the FIA has changed the date for round 5 of
the (1/1) GT championship, the Spa- Francorchamps 24hrs from its usual spot
in the last weekend of july to the first weekend in August (August 3-4)
Please do reply

Can't we convince the FIA to change their date?
What about all the people having bought their plane-tickets already
At least, that was the answer I got when asking a very similar question not so long ago... no, just kidding.... Anyway, it will be that or no show at
all I guess, so the choice is obvious

Hi,
otherwise it is OK but sunday 27th of July is difficult to me. I think I can't be there before monday. Missing of free practise day doesn't sound
good...

Hi guys,
I don't really care if the Worlds would only start the 27th. I'll be there anyway. Just need to ask Ralph, because I knwo that he already had to
make his vacation requests by beginning of january where he's working.
Cheers,
Mike

Rehi,
just talked to Ralph Seif. as I said he already had to make his requests for vacations in eraly January. As the month July and August are school
vacation periods too in Germany it will be impossible for him to change the vacation dates. No Worlds for Ralph if they will be moved .
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Tamar,
Answering your question : for myself, no problemo in shifting the dates.
I'll be on vacations till Tuesday 5th
But it seems being problematic for many other guys, isn't ?
CU @ Bruxelles,
with my best regards,
Philippe.

I want the race either jusdt before the SPA event, or, inside the Spa track during the event, at the same time, so i can get to see Spa and the cars
for real for the first time...

3rd August, or just before it.. According to the FIA site, thats' the SPA round..
We need to race Wed to Friday, have a HUGE party Friday nite, and then go in FORCE to SPA. Ask Our contact Jacqui at the SRO for BULK ticket
discounts, and have the BEST worlds ever with JP and all our friends together..

Has an official date change been made for the worlds?
Is it still just a request?
An official announcement should be made, hopefully sooner than later, so that travel plans may be confirmed.
Greetings from snow bound Toronto, Terry

Pitty.. I for one was hopeing to be able to go to Spa to watch my very first LIVE race of FIA GT cars. Now, there's like a whole week between IMCA
event and SPA, I can't afford to stay that long.

Sorry Boet, but it's the Wallonian Governement that forced the date change of the Spa 24hrs, JP planned the Worlds based on the official FIA
Calender.
