Controller Wiring for 2007 Worlds

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a repeat, but, can anyone who knows this track post us a diagram for connecting the controllers correctly please? We use a large, Stereo Headphone Jack here, but I'm sure this isn't the same over there.. We'd need to fit aligator clips I think, but, what goes where etc?? :comp1:

regards

Big Al

Track due to arrive this friday

hello Al

I talked to JP today and the Ship that carries the track arrives in the Rotterdam port on friday.
There are some problems with the guys that were to assemble it in Mechelen, but we should have more info next week.

With kind regards
Tamar

Hi guys,

does anyone know what the wiring/colour coding is for tracks like this?? Is this a European wiring standard, or what? We need to do some modifications to our controllers, so any info would be appreciated.

regards

Hi there,

I don't know the wiring colors but for me it seems, that the Parma standards are used. Just because of the fact that alligator clips are required. Haven't seen alli-clips on european tracks with "german" wiring.

Cheers,

Mike

Color codes should be black red white/Yellow and the controllers should not need modifications except for the required Alligator clips instead of banana plugs........

c u soon.....

gotta finish my racers ;-)

Hi guys,

that's all understandeable, but, we in SA use a 3.5' Stereo Headphone jack for track connection. I don't have a problem fitting three crocodile clips onto the wire, but, I'd like to know, WHAT colour goes WHERE?
ie: Red goes to trigger, White goes to brake, etc..
HOW??:comp:

Controller wiring

Al......

It looks very simple..... you got 3 wires, solder 3 alligator clips and bring three rolls of isolation tape

red, white, black and see at the track what's what.

I don't understand anything right now!

black = break and the rest like parma controllers?? isn't parma white = plus, red = brake and black = throttle?

how can the rest be like any parma controller when black is break.

so what's the conclusion:

black = brake
red = throttle
white = plus

But white is positive? I hope so, otherwise I can't use my controller!

So let's do like Tamar said, bring alligator clips and 3 colors of tape :laugh::laugh::laugh:.

Cheers

Mike

p.s.: Also still building, had to take my Nismo apart yesterday night. Couldn't fix it after 6 beers :coke:

Once and for all

Gents,

I don't know how many time sI've explained this but i will have a go at it again

Step 1: Look at the wires of your controller

If you got: black, red and yellow then unless you got a really stupid controller builder, the mapping is as follows:

Black = minus, earth, (-)
Red = Positive meaning a direct connection to the powersupply (+)
Yellow = Track meaning the output voltage you supply to the engine

If you got: black, red and white (typical parma and american) the mapping is:

Black = Track meaning the output voltage you supply to the engine
Red = minus, earth, (-)
White = Positive meaning a direct connection to the powersupply (+)

If you can count to three you're there........:comp1:

Note: So Massiven......you're right:car:

Willem, as an admin member I find it frikkin amazing why you're always so ABRASIVE on the Forum!!!!
I build controllers and I'm not SURE of the International wiring sequence, as are a number of other slotcar enthusiasts, supposedly part of the "International" scene..
I think yyou should have a few beers and chill out a bit more, or get some leg -over, cause ur too wound up!
