from the latest version (7.7.2008) of the IMCA rule book:

6.4. MOTOR, GEAR & PINION
(a1) MOTOR -..., with a 50 pitch 8T pinion already soldered to the shaft,
(b) PINION & GEAR -....On MTT gear ratio is always 44:9.

Maybe somebody can help and tell me what is the gear ratio in these classes next IMCA worlds?

- Is it same in both classes?
- Is it 44/9 = 4,89?
- Is it 44/8 = 5,50?
- Is it 39/8 = 4,88?

According to the rule book the latest one is correct. Pinion is Z8 and gear ratio is (almost) 44:9...
