IMCA WC missing decals JGTC
tamar - 30-7-2007 at 12:47

Hello Boys & Girls

There have been several posts concerning missing decals for the JGTC cars that people are building for the 2007 IMCA WC.

All we can do is try to collect as much info and refrence shots as possible and see if we can find a printer to make them.
The missing l;ogo's could be combined inot one sheet, the costs will have to be shared by those who need those decals.

So post your requests state car, make and race number here ,with reference pics attached to your forum post.

Hi,

this car has to be build by Ralf Seif. Find 7 pictures I cut out from flash presentations. I hope that the quality is high enough for making decals.

Cheers,
Mike

For myself I'd need the small sponsor logos and tons of that little ZENT logo that is all over the car. I think there're at least 40 of'em. 2 of the large Zent logos are included in my Tamiya kit and I ordered a decal sheet from Patto in Australia, maybe I could use some of them too.

I think that this 1 pictures includes every decal that is needed.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Tamar,

I've got news: I don't need anymore the decals for the ZENT CERUMO SC with #38. I ordered a second decals sheet at tamiya.de and now I 've enought of the little ZENT logos.

But Ralph still needs his decals. Nobody else posted into this thread, and I'm wondering how long it would take to get the decals and how much they will cost. Do you have any idea?.

Cheers,
Mike

Sounds like we should have placed a bulk order with Tamiya for the ZENT decals. If Gunther is building . . . we will have three cars to choose from. Hopefully one of them will know how to run. Saw JP's post on the new MTT track for the Worlds . . . not just a story guys . . . I made a quick call down the road to Ogilivie Tracks and Brian has started to build the track. Should be fun.

Hi Marco,

Brian started building the track! WOW, it's gonna be lot of fun on that track.

Concerning decals: I also ordered a sheet of ZENT logos at Patto's (for the larger ones. Hope the quality is good enough. My Skyline is almost ready, also started on the Lexus body. After DPM 100% of my time goes into the Worlds.

Gotta go decal my Porsche Gt1 now ;-))

Cheers,
Mike

Should be great and you have to hand it to JP for always pushing! I know that Brian Crosbie at Ogilvie Tracks will put his heart into the build knowing the audience. Now a question. It has always been my understanding that you do NOT use any glue on your model car tracks . . . so I am curious as to how you will get the grip up so quickly on a completely green track?

HI,

well I know that Kurt Petri is using some stuff on his track for the DPM. it's kinda glue mixed up in "waschbezin" (don't know the english word for it). that solution is put on the track with a sponge juste before the curves. bit only half an hour before the training begins. the rest of the grip has to be driven on. the dpm track is also "green" when it's build up on thursday before the official training day. if the track surface will be like an ogilvie BK, I think that the grip won't be that great problem (my experience at the blue-king-club in Brühl). I ran an SLP-car without any kind of glue on it and it worked pretty fine.

Hello,

I've got news:

I found somebody who could make the decal sheet of the Houzon Tom's Lexus for 13€ per sheet. Designing costs 15€. So if we found 2 or 3 other persons who want that decal sheet, design costs will be divided. I'll try to find more pictures of that car in order to get all the decals done. Some of the decals can't be realised with my pictures due to miserable quality or bad angles where pics have been taken from. It could be that some of the really small decals will be missing.

Decal print quality will be thermo-transfer printing.

Regards,
Mike
