RfH 's visit to the Danes of Thunder
tamar - 29-10-2004 at 14:57

Hello Slotters.

Just finished packing, the RfH crew is about to head north to Viking country where we will enter the Danish 6hrs Endurance organised by our LMS friends 2H and Paal.

The 6hrs du Frederiksund will be the first 1/24 Modelcar Endurance organised by the DMCA (Danish Model Car Association) following LMS rules with some local extra's (Gr C's allowed, fuel economy system).

From what 2H told us, the Fuel economy system promises to bring some interesting extra tactics to the race that will spice up things.
Apperently the powersupply is controlled by a computer. Besides calculating how much fuel your car has in the tank, it also adjust the available power as your car goes from a full tank (heavy= slower) to running on fumes (light= faster).

It will be interesting to see if our Dome is a real gas burning prototype or an economy LMP.

If we can get online in Danmark we'll post updates via this thread, otherwise you'll have to wait till monday for the latest developments

Well, we made it to Frederiksund in something like 8 hours, believe me those stories about the German Åutobahn ............. they're fairytales, you can't drive fast anymore :upset:

To many trucks and slow cars :m16:
The only place were we could do 200+ was in Danmark (highly illegal, don't try this at home) ;)

We'll be heading for the Club later this morning.
Won't be able to go online there, so no updates till 2 night.

Average race pace of the dome is somnething like 5.8 or just above the 6 seconds.
