In the opening hour De Vries Racing and Matchbox (pictured above) took the lead followed by RfH and Virage. The yellow and black Audi was doing extremely well until the bodymount screws came loose. A problem that would hit most of the teams.
After 3 hrs RFH took the lead after Nick double stinted with a record 810 laps in 100minutes.
positions after 4 hrs was RfH 1st, DVR 2nd and Matchbox 3rd
