1/24 FIA-GT: PS 4000-IMCA motors for EEC testing

When we asked Dan Debella to make the IMCA spec PS-4000, we wanted to have improved equality and better endurance. We got all that and more ......

When we used the motors for the first time in Olso its performance was in fact so much better that it upset the carefully created balance of the weight calculator.
At 14.2 volts it had no problem dragging 229 gr heavy cars around the track. Where as the old motor got hot and died on you if you got above the 218 -220 gram. The unexpected bonus of using the american armarture and the ball bearing for the PS -4000-IMCA was a much better torque curve and improved efficiency.

Tests done by the organisation to recalculate the weight and power values immidiately showed the down side of this bonus performance. When testing with the old PS 4000 motor the results could not be compared. It was like comparing aplles and pears.

So to make comparitive testing possible for all EEC teams a new batch of motors has been ordered for the Round 2, which gives us the possebility to send each team one test motor of the batch we used in Oslo.
Should you want to have one we can send them to you at the reduced price of €25 (shipping costs excluded).

Payments can be made via paypal@slotracinglemans.com
